Capital market has the important role in a country, because of its contribution to national gross domestic product and as company’s funding source. Capital market as one of the investment media can answer the needs of company in obtaining fund and to answer the needs of investor through providing investment instruments with various risk and return rates.
As investor, we absolutely want to optimize the return-on-investment of stock portfolio and minimize the risk. That’s why, we have an idea to carry out the competition named “2022 International Stock Portfolio Analysis Competition,” which theme is “Sharpening young investors analysis skill on building stock portfolio”.
2022 International Stock Portfolio Analysis Competition is the international competition which teams consist of 3 diploma or undergraduate students from the same university. There are two rounds in this competition. First round will require each team to build a portfolio consist of 5 stocks from Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). They will observe their portfolio growth for 14 days. Then, they will create the report about the investment strategy and analyze industries and companies.
Winners on this round are selected on the strength and articulation of their team strategies, and the stock selection for their portfolios. Furthermore, the growth of portfolio is also considered as the part of scoring, but not as the main proportion of scoring. The reports are reviewed by a team of judges who select 10 teams for the final round. Those teams are invited to do the online presentation about their reports to a panel of expert judges.
