On Monday, July 10, 2023, a webinar entitled “THE IMPORTANCE OF DIGITAL PORTFOLIO” was held online at the Zoom Meeting. The event started at 8.00 WIB and was filled by the Lecturer and Coordinator of the D4 Digital Office Administration Study Program, namely Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor, S.E., M.M. In this activity, Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. shared his experience and knowledge about the meaning of the portfolio, functions, and benefits of the portfolio itself. In the presentation of the material delivered by Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. In the presentation of the material delivered by Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. about digital portfolio, in the content of his presentation he explained the importance of having a portfolio in the world of work, as a lecturer Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. believes that many things and abilities can be developed and shared in social media in a very advanced era, and competition is increasing. Then Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. mentioned about various social media platforms that can store and share the results of both achievements, abilities, organizations that have been achieved. Furthermore, portfolio upgrade is a very important thing to do in this era. For this reason, Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. invites and hopes that those who listen to the presentation of the material can pay more attention to themselves, and evaluate, both abilities, achievements, etc. That can be shared in the portfolio or CV.
Regarding Portfolio Making itself, he told how to create a Portfolio and CV by utilizing the applications that have been provided, namely Canva and Google Sides. In addition, Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. conveyed an understanding of social media, where social media according to him we can see everything that we want both looking at universities outside for example in Malaysia, we can see and find information about a large company through Google, all can be accessed through social media. According to him, social media is the right bridge so that recruiters and job applicants can very easily find information without having to meet in person.
In delivering the material, he mentioned a lot of applications that he can use to share both documentation / stories of his achievements, both in achievements and other organizations, such as in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, the blog is a good opportunity if used with positive things. He said the LinkedIn application is very influential in finding a job or looking for who wants to work. Therefore, he strongly recommends sharing your background, education, job, abilities, and positions that are being desired on LinkedIn, so that later recruiters can read in detail and understand what type of job position you want.
In this webinar, Dr. Christian Wiradendi Wolor S.E., M.M. advised us not to be left behind by the increasingly advanced times, and equate several solutions such as: Increase the spirit of competition within yourself, Improve Soft Skills in yourself, always take existing opportunities, always look for scholarship opportunities, internships, organizations etc. And the last is to expand the network because it can help facilitate every job or another.
