“Exploration of Collaboration between Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Faculty of Economics (FE UNJ), and O.P Jindal Global University, India

“On Monday, December 4, 2023, at JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta, at 6:30 PM, the Faculty of Economics initiated a collaboration exploration with O.P Jindal Global University from India. Representing the Faculty of Economics were Prof. Usep Suhud, Ph.D., the Dean; Dr. Agung Wahyu Handaru, S.T., MM, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; Dr. Indra Pahala, M.Si, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni; and Mrs. Ervina Maulida, MBA, the Coordinator of Internationalization at FE UNJ. From O.P Jindal Global University, India, the delegation included Mr. Dr. Sridhar Patnaik as the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Padmanabha Ramanujam as the Head of the Governing Council, Dr. Rahul Bhandari as the Joint Director of the International Office, and Mr. Mayank Khemka serving as the Deputy General Manager of the Office of Academic Governance and Student Life.

As a follow-up, the next day, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the O.P Jindal Global University delegation continued discussions and exploration directly at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, held in the meeting room of the Vice Rector IV UNJ. From Universitas Negeri Jakarta, the collaboration discussion was led by Prof. Hafid Abbas, the Chairman of the UNJ Senate, and Prof. Dr. Fahrurrozi, M.Pd, the Vice Rector IV for Planning and Cooperation. The event was also attended by Dr. Mutia, Mrs. Sri Rahayu, and Mrs. Dian from the UNJ International Affairs Office, along with the QS Ranking UNJ team and Mrs. Ervina Maulida from FE UNJ.

The event, starting at 1:30 PM, proceeded smoothly, resulting in several agreements such as the organization of student exchanges (inbound & outbound), lecturer exchanges, research collaborations, and joint immersion programs. It is hoped that this collaboration will mutually enrich the knowledge, experience, and culture of both institutions. We are confident that this partnership will serve as a solid foundation to create a more diverse, innovative, and globally-oriented academic environment. Thanks to the support of all parties involved in realizing these progressive steps, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact generated from this collaboration in the development of education and research at both institutions on the international stage.”
