Pada tanggal 2 Maret 2024, Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Jakarta menyelenggarakan kegiatan seri diskusi pendidikan ekonomi dengan tema “Optimalisasi Penggunaan Platform E-Learning Di Era Digital” yang berlangsung di Virtual Zoom Meetings. Pada kegiatan ini dihadirkan Ibu Tri Mulyani Kartini, S.E., M.M yaitu Dosen dan praktisi Human Resources Management, selaku narasumber pada kegiatan pembelajaran ini.
Kegiatan ini dimulai pada pukul 19.00 WIB, yang dimulai oleh pembukaan oleh Ayuningtyas S.Pd selaku moderator pada malam hari ini dilanjut dengan pembacaan CV Narasumber. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pemaparan materi “Optimalisasi Penggunaan Platform E-Learning Di Era Digital” oleh narasumber.

Ibu Tri membuka materi Dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat, pendidikan tidak luput dari transformasi digital. Salah satu inovasi yang paling mencolok adalah e-learning. E-learning, singkatan dari electronic learning, merupakan metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran secara daring. Optimalisasi penggunaan e-learning di era digital tidak hanya memperluas akses terhadap pendidikan, tetapi juga meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Artikel ini akan menjelaskan pengertian, karakteristik, komponen, manfaat, contoh, kelebihan, kekurangan, dan peran e-learning bagi perguruan tinggi.
Ibu Tru menjelaskan E-learning adalah metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi elektronik, seperti komputer dan internet, untuk mengakses dan menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Berbeda dengan pembelajaran konvensional yang mengharuskan peserta didik untuk hadir secara fisik di kelas, e-learning memungkinkan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring, di mana saja, dan kapan saja.
Beliau juga menjabarkan Beberapa karakteristik utama e-learning meliputi:
– Aksesibilitas: Materi pembelajaran dapat diakses secara online dari mana saja dengan koneksi internet.
– Interaktif: E-learning memungkinkan interaksi antara peserta didik dan materi pembelajaran melalui berbagai media, seperti video, audio, dan teks.
– Fleksibilitas: Peserta didik dapat belajar sesuai dengan jadwal dan kecepatan masing-masing.
– Kemajuan Terukur: Sistem e-learning sering kali dilengkapi dengan fitur untuk memantau kemajuan belajar peserta didik secara real-time.
Selai itu Komponen-komponen utama dalam sistem e-learning meliputi:
– Platform Pembelajaran: Berbagai platform seperti Learning Management System (LMS) atau Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) digunakan untuk menyajikan materi pembelajaran dan interaksi antara peserta didik dan instruktur.
– Materi Pembelajaran: Berbagai jenis materi pembelajaran, mulai dari teks, video, audio, hingga simulasi interaktif, disediakan dalam format digital.

– Moodle: LMS open-source yang digunakan oleh banyak institusi pendidikan untuk menyelenggarakan pembelajaran online.

Di perguruan tinggi, e-learning dapat memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan aksesibilitas pendidikan tinggi. Beberapa manfaat e-learning bagi perguruan tinggi meliputi:
