International Community Service Collaboration Faculty of Economics UNJ X Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy UMS Research Bootcamp Training to Enhance Research Competence

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, a Community Service program was conducted as a result of collaboration between Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universiti Malaysia Sabah under the theme “Research Bootcamp Training to Enhance Research Competence”. The event took place from 10:10 AM to 11:45 AM via the Zoom Cloud Meetings platform, attended by 170 participants from Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and other universities. This international community service activity was chaired by Ati Sumiati, S.Pd., MM, and comprised six other members: Aditya Pratama, S.Pd., M.Pd, Dita Puruwita S.Pd., M.Si,, Siti Fatimah Zahra S.E.I.,M.E., Andy, MM, Diah Armeliza, S.E., M.Ak, CA, Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, S.E., M.M.

The event was hosted by Diva Maharani, a student of the Accounting Education Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. It commenced with opening remarks by the MC followed by speeches from Associate Professor Dr. Mohd. Rahimie Bin Abd. Karim, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Accounting at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and Dr. Indra Pahala, M.Si, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Alumni of the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Subsequently, a documentation session was conducted.

The speakers for this event were Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, SE., M.M from the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, and Nur Syifa Nadiastuti, the Main Outstanding Student of Universitas Negeri Jakarta 2024. The topics covered by the speakers included accessing indexed national and international journals, and the use of software such as Quillbot, Mendeley, and Grammarly to enhance research competence between Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Each speaker presented for 40 minutes, totaling 80 minutes for both presentations. This was followed by a Q&A session where participants asked questions related to the previously discussed applications and journal access. Due to time constraints, only three questions were entertained during the event. Upon the conclusion of all activities, the MC closed the event and reminded participants to fill out attendance forms and event evaluations.
